General
What is MARKABLE? +

MARKABLE is a general wellness monitoring platform that helps women understand their hormonal wellness over time. Using three independent channels (facial analysis, cognitive testing, and symptom tracking), MARKABLE creates a longitudinal wellness profile that you can track privately or share with your GP.

MARKABLE is a wellness tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.

Who is MARKABLE for? +

MARKABLE is designed for women who want to better understand their hormonal wellness, particularly during perimenopause, menopause, and other hormonal transitions. It is also used by:

  • Healthcare professionals who want structured, longitudinal wellness data before appointments
  • Employers looking to support employee wellness programmes
  • NHS trusts and health plans seeking engagement and early wellness awareness tools
How long does a wellness check take? +

About 10 minutes. A complete check includes a selfie (30 seconds), cognitive games (5 minutes), and a symptom questionnaire (4 minutes). You do it on your own phone, at home, whenever it's convenient.

How much does MARKABLE cost? +

Your first wellness check is free. After that, pricing depends on how you use MARKABLE (personal use, clinic integration, or employer wellness programme). Contact us at revital@markable.life for details.

The Science
How does facial analysis work? +

You take a simple selfie with your phone. Our computer vision algorithms analyse subtle patterns in your skin texture, periorbital area (around the eyes), and facial volume that are associated with hormonal wellness changes. These changes are often too gradual to notice in the mirror but are measurable by AI.

The photo is processed in real-time and converted to numerical wellness indicators. The original image is not stored unless you opt in.

Why not just use blood tests? +

Blood tests are valuable, but they have limitations for hormonal wellness monitoring:

  • They provide a single snapshot, not a trend. Hormone levels fluctuate throughout the day and across cycles.
  • They require a GP visit, which creates friction and limits frequency.
  • They measure hormone levels but not how those levels manifest in your daily experience (sleep, cognition, mood).

MARKABLE complements blood tests by providing frequent, non-invasive, multi-dimensional wellness tracking that captures what blood tests miss. It does not replace them.

What are the three wellness channels? +

MARKABLE combines three independent data streams:

  • Facial Analysis: Computer vision detects subtle dermal, periorbital, and volumetric patterns associated with hormonal wellness.
  • Cognitive Testing: Brief exercises measure reaction time, memory, attention, and processing speed, all domains sensitive to hormonal changes.
  • Symptom Tracking: Structured self-reports across 70+ domains capture sleep quality, mood patterns, urogenital health, energy, and more.

Each channel captures information the others miss. Together, they create a more complete wellness picture than any single measure.

How accurate is MARKABLE? +

MARKABLE provides wellness indicators based on a research dataset of 264 participants. Like any wellness tool, results should be interpreted as general trends and patterns, not precise clinical measurements. Factors such as lighting, camera quality, and time of day can influence individual readings.

The value of MARKABLE is in longitudinal tracking: seeing how your wellness profile changes over weeks and months. Single-point readings are less informative than trends.

Privacy
Is my selfie stored? +

No. Your facial photo is processed in real-time by our algorithms, converted to numerical wellness indicators, and then discarded. The original image is not stored on our servers unless you explicitly opt in to photo storage. We believe your face is your data, and you should control what happens to it.

Who can see my data? +

Only you. Your individual wellness data is never shared with anyone without your explicit consent. If you choose to share a report with your GP, only the specific clinician you designate will receive it. If you use MARKABLE through an employer programme, your employer receives only aggregated, de-identified group data and never individual results.

Is MARKABLE UK GDPR compliant? +

Yes. We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This includes processing health-related data only with explicit consent, maintaining records of processing activities, providing data subject rights (access, deletion, portability, correction), and implementing appropriate safeguards for international data transfers. Israel has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.

For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Is MARKABLE aligned with NHS data security standards? +

While MARKABLE is a wellness tool and not a covered entity under NHS frameworks, we voluntarily align with the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit standards. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We maintain strict access controls, audit logging, and breach notification procedures.

For Healthcare Professionals
How do I receive patient reports? +

When a patient completes a wellness check and chooses to share results with you, you receive a structured summary via email or secure web link. The report highlights symptom clusters, cognitive wellness scores, trend data, and any flagged patterns. No software installation or system integration is required.

What is my liability exposure? +

MARKABLE is positioned as a general wellness tool, not a medical device or diagnostic instrument. Reports explicitly state they are not clinical diagnoses. You use them as supplementary intake data, comparable to a patient questionnaire. Clinical decisions remain entirely yours. MARKABLE does not establish a doctor-patient relationship and does not provide medical advice.

Can MARKABLE integrate with my clinical system? +

Currently, MARKABLE delivers reports via email and secure web links. Clinical system integration is on our roadmap. If this is a priority for your practice, please reach out to revital@markable.life so we can understand your workflow and timeline.

How do I start a pilot? +

We offer a free pilot for clinics: 3 patient checks, no cost, no commitment. You send the link to your patients, they complete their checks at home, and you receive the reports. Most clinics can get started within 24 hours. Email revital@markable.life or visit our For Clinics page.

For Employers
Can my employer see my individual results? +

Never. When MARKABLE is offered through an employer wellness programme, the employer receives only aggregated, de-identified group wellness trends. Your employer will never see your individual selfie, cognitive scores, symptom reports, or wellness indicators. Privacy is non-negotiable.

How much does it cost for employers? +

Employer pricing depends on the number of eligible employees and programme scope. We offer flexible models including per-employee-per-month and annual plans. Contact revital@markable.life for a custom quote.

Does this help with Employment Rights Act 2025 compliance? +

Yes. The Employment Rights Act 2025 requires employers to implement menopause action plans by Spring 2027. MARKABLE provides a structured, private wellness monitoring tool that demonstrates proactive support for employees experiencing hormonal transitions, supporting compliance with both the ERA 2025 and the Equality Act 2010.

Regulatory
Is MARKABLE an MHRA-approved medical device? +

No. MARKABLE is a general wellness product positioned under MHRA general wellness guidelines. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It provides wellness indicators for informational and educational purposes.

Does MARKABLE have CE/UKCA marking? +

MARKABLE does not require CE or UKCA marking because it is positioned as a general wellness product, not a medical device. General wellness products that do not claim to diagnose, treat, or prevent disease fall outside the scope of medical device regulations in the UK.
